SALES ENGINEER GERMANY
For our branch FPZ Germany, we are looking for a Sales Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the field of pumps and systems for dosing chemical, acid or basic liquids.
Position Summary
Develop specific assigned territory of the German market through promotion of standard and customized solution belonging to the product family of dosing pumps, 80% of work should be focussed on business development work (new projects) and 20% on supporting other collegues after a period of training in the headquarter. Works closely with other collegues in the region and with the collegues in the headquarter and become a point of reference for the business unit to develop new products and develop the market.
Key Responsibilities
- The Sales Engineer’s prime responsibility is to develop the business of pumps for the assigned territory
- Define and own sales budget and design win targets and meet or exceed these on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Identify, qualify and develop sales pipeline
- Help build, maintain and execute a Geographical Business plan
- Prioritise opportunities and work with direct and distribution account sales offices and Business Development Managers to close these opportunities
- Develop key success factors for the customer and take an active role to ensure achievement thereof
- Take soundbites from direct and distribution partners on market status and product requirements to feed back into the business unit
- Participate in weekly calls and reporting to sales management
- Schedule, prepare and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews
- Maintain CRM report and information
- Enhance business relationships to leverage additional opportunities
- Work with global Sales Team to improve sales strategy and share success stories
- Willingness to travel in the assigned territory and once per year to the headquarter
Skills
- Demonstrable track record of achieving sales goals and a strong mix of strategic and tactical sales expertise
- High level “cutting edge” knowledge and awareness of the key business drivers in the markets as it applies to the territory or account base
- Experience of constructing and then executing effective territory/account plans to achieve the design win targets with new projects/accounts.
- Excellent customer-facing skills.
- Demonstrable ability to develop strong distributor/account relationships and sell to all levels of withing those customers
- Good technical knowledge/background
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills in English and local language
- Adaptive attitude – views change as an opportunity
- Independent & pro-active with entrepreneurial sales spirit
- Negotiation skills
This role requires a willingness to travel extensively within Germany, and will report to the country leader of the region Austria and Germany
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience in the industry / chemical market
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in building customer relationships
